Blood Donors

At Orange Grove Vet we are privileged to be able to work closely with VAACCS (Veterinary Anaesthesia Analgesia & Critical Care Services), a veterinary business that provides essential blood plasma, platelets and other products needed for animals needing life-saving blood transfusions.

Over the past 4 years, we have been able to host several blood donor days in conjunction with VAACCS and we are fortunate to have a group on a wonderful dedicated Super Pups who assist us. The blood donated helps other dogs recovering from major surgeries, severe anaemia, parvovirus, and is used in cases where there has been major blood loss.

We are so thankful to all our Super Pups & their pet parents! Thank you Bentley, Ella, Groucho, Harry (may he rest in peace), Henri, Higgs, Hulk, Leyli, Mello, Ninja, Otto, Shadow, Skylar, Toffee, Tomas, and Twinkle!

We are always looking for more dogs to join our Super Pups team. Potential donors must fit the following criteria:

• In good health
• Between 1 – 8 years old
• Weighing over 20kg
