Testimonials

  • To All the staff at the Orange Grove Veterinary Hospital, I would like to say a huge thank you in appreciation for all the staff who got my dog Bila back on his feet.

It was like a miracle. The brilliant surgeons, veterinary nursing, general encouragement. None of this would have happened without your expertise.

When I looked out the window at my dog walker carrying my dog dripping in blood I thought he was a goner. Each visit I just imagined a dog that was no longer my special pet. Thankfully Bila is now back to his old self. My constant companion!

Who would have thought that those horrific photos I saw of Bila after his attack would result in him looking pretty normal again? So I’ m really grateful for everything all of you did. You all did your part in making him the same loving pet that he has always been.

    Kind Regards

    Judith

  • To whom it may concern,

I would just want to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Lara who saw my baby Nala on Sunday 18th. She picked up something while walking her from the floor which was obviously toxic and I brought her into Orange Grove in a complete and utter state. Lara attended to her and when she saw she was not improving she treated her immediately for suspected poisoning. The professionalism and empathy both from Lara and the receptionist were exceptional. Her advice to let her go to Bryanston Veterinary was the best decision we could have made to get 24-hour monitoring. I just want to say thank you to everyone concerned. I wish to use you as my Vet of choice going forward.

    Best regards,

    Elana

  • Dear Dr. Romberg and team,

We just wanted to send a big, sincere THANK YOU for assisting us this past weekend with the stitching of one of our dogs we had at our adoption day at Melrose Arch.

We are just beyond grateful that it was done pro bono, and really appreciate that your team went out of their way to assist us on a public holiday.

What a friendly team and helpful vet practice, we wish we had you guys in Cape Town!

We will definitely be referring al our new adopters to Orange Grove Veterinary Hospital.

  • Good Morning To All of You at Orange Grove Veterinary Hospital!

I am writing to thank you so very much for having invited me to this Function. Not only did I enjoy it, but I found it immensely interesting. The two Presenters were very good – and they certainly know their subjects, speaking mostly off the cuff.

One last comment – as I have previously said: OGVH does go the extra step (leap actually) in all that it provides for its Clients (Patients of course!) – you are really a WONDERFUL and HUGELY EFFICIENT VETERINARY HOSPITAL AND PRACTICE and every single one of all the Staff are always so very friendly and helpful. I speak with confidence and strength here, having been a Client (Patients) from 1963 in the days of Beverly Gordon.

    Very Best Wishes – Sally

  • Hi Brian,

We want to thank you and your staff for all the effort and loving care you gave to Sultan, and for your assistance in helping us make this very painful decision.

He really was a very special part of our family, however, this illness together with age was too much….at least he is out of pain and at rest.

Once again we appreciate your professionalism and care.

    Regards,

    Stan & Family

  • Dear David

Once again my family and I would like to sincerely thank you for your incredible professionalism, care and concern for Bella and our pets. Although it is hard to lose a pet, I also know that these losses must also be hard on you and your team, we are honoured that we were able to share Bella’s life with you through the good and the bad.

    Regards

  • We made it to the Netherlands safely and through a long process of investigating Droopy. I cried when I finally got him out of the KLM Animal Hotel. Apparently all animals from South Africa must be checked into Animal Freight and then the Animal Hotel where they are vetted for everything possible that might be wrong. Droopy went through without too much fuss but it did take several hours.

Anyway, I just want to thank all the staff at the OGVH for all you have done for us. You have cared for my animals for many years and I very much appreciate all you have done. You have all be simply wonderful!

    Warm Regards

    Kim & Droopy

  • Dear Brian and members of staff , many thanks for your condolences on Kitke’s passing. His memory will always be with us as he was like our 4th child. We will always be eternally grateful for the empathy you all showed during his times of treatment which made the transition at the end so much easier knowing he went in peace and he was at peace. Best wishes Steve & Paula

  • Dear Dr Moore,
Thank you so much for your kind email and way you and Joe took care of my dearest Polo yesterday.
As you know both Lucy and Polo were such an important and special part of my life. They were thoroughly spoilt, had everything of the best including veterinary care. You and your team are just so wonderful and I appreciate everything that you have ever done for me and them.
I adopted a little girl on Sunday as a companion for Polo, not knowing that he would be gone two days later. However she is a blessing because waking up this morning to an empty home would have been awful. She is a Standard Sausage girl of 4 years old and her name is Ginny. Her mom is going to hospice and I adopted her through The Dachshund Haven.
We will continue to be clients of Orange Grove as long as there is a Dachshund in my home.
Thanks again for everything. It’s always appreciated.
    Kind Regards Rox

  • Good evening

I would firstly like to say how comforted and appreciative we were to receive your email after we had to euthanize our beloved pet Maxie .

It’s a very difficult decision to make and we were grateful for the care  and support we received from Dr Mac William . He has always been an incredible vet with a wonderful kind manner and whatever decisions were made were in the best interest of our animals .

I have found every aspect of the veterinary practice , from the reception to the incredible staff who help with a smile on their faces and always eager to assist. I am always keen to recommend your practice to my colleagues and friends because of the efficient and caring way you treat all your clients and animals too .

I take comfort in the way our Maxie was surrounded by the love of his family and caring vet and he’s hopefully running around in doggie heaven .

    Best Regards Judy

  • Hi All !

I loved your little write-up on an email of this morning with regards to your Team. A very impressive Team indeed I might add!

Dr Moore – So you make 50 years in October this year!! Absolutely fantastic!! I hope there will be a Cup of Tea (strong English style) on offer on the day?? I must mention that, as a “Patient” owner, I beat you in years. My Cousin, Heather and I moved to Terrace Road April, 1963 and having about 6 dogs already at that stage, we began at your same address with Gordon Beverley – a hell of a long time ago indeed. We think we own a lot of your building’s bricks in fact!! Certainly have seen some of us age, me included.

Jokes apart, you have been an amazing Veterinary Hospital – right from the beginning – may you all go on for many years still!

    Very Best Wishes – Sally

  • Dear Drs Frampton, Mac William and Moore & Penny

Thank you so much for taking such good care of our beloved Cat, the care and concern was most evident and appreciated. I am so glad to have found your vet in the area on a Sunday afternoon last week, when I was so worried about Cannabis’ wellbeing.

Much appreciated – we will certainly be coming back to Orange Grove Veterinary Hospital from now on.

    Regards

  • Dear Dr Romberg,
I could see how much you cared for Buddy, even trying to do more research on his condition for us.
He’s the best dog I have ever had, he wasn’t a dog actually he was a person.
This morning was really hard, but knowing it was the right decision and leaving him in your care made me feel marginally better. It was mercifully quick and he didn’t suffer, wagging his tail to the end.
Thank you so much to yourself, Dr Moore, Penny, Nicola and all your wonderful staff. You make it such a personal practice, I wish I’d have found you sooner.

  • Dear David

Thank you to you and all your staff for your support and loving care on Saturday . It was simply awful and I had hoped that he would pull through – tough old boy that he was !

He really was a wonderful and extremely gentle dog. Thank you again for your kindness and I know that you did everything to save him .

  • Dear Keith,

Thank you very much for your kind email sent through regarding Sassy. As you know she was a huge loss, as a pet & we regarded her to be very special. She has left an enormous void in her passing to our entire family. We cannot thank you in particular, your colleagues, the front office staff and the hospital staff for giving it all they had to help her, and for helping us, through this traumatic time.

Everyone went beyond what they had to do, I was quite frankly amazed. We cannot express in words how grateful we are,

  • Good day,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for taking care of Bailey when we brought him in that evening and also for recommending the anti animal cruelty hospital. The morning after he was seen by your vet – there was a vast improvement to his health and I am extremely grateful for the compassion and love shown to us when everything seems to be going South. I have recommended you to as many people I had to speak to about Bailey and his recovery.
Extremely impressive service with passion and love which is so rare these days!!!!
May this hospital continue to thrive and thank you for everything.
    Kindest regards
    Shereen
